Martin Place Station

Martin Place is preparing for completion

Martin Place Station is nearing completion as the final product comes to life.
With all 25 escalators now installed, testing and commissioning is underway throughout the station. Final finishes for the platforms are almost complete with all paving, lighting, seating and platform screens installed,and glass reinforced concrete (GRC) complete on the
ceilings and walls. Floor, ceiling and wall finishes have commenced on both the north and south concourses, and retail spaces are ready for fit-out.
The north tower (1 Elizabeth) has now reached the top of the structure at level 39 with the south tower (39 Martin Place) set to reach its final level of 28 in the coming months. 

Sydney Metro is Australia’s biggest public transport project.Services started in May 2019 in the city’s North West with a train every four minutes in the peak. Metro rail will be extended into the CBD in 2024, with new metro railway stations at Crows Nest, Victoria Cross,Martin Place, Pitt Street and Barangaroo and new metro platforms at Central, and then onto Bankstown in 2025.


Macquarie Group is delivering the new Sydney Metro Martin Place integrated station development and has appointed Lendlease as its design and construction contractor.
Systems Connect (an unincorporated joint venture between CPB Contractors and UGL Limited) is delivering line-wide work including installing metro rail track, power systems and infrastructure to turn the excavated tunnels into a working railway.
